Supporters Task Group Meeting - Friday 13th May

At the Supporters Forum on 10th May it was agreed that the R&DFC Supporters wanted to form a Task Group to move things forwards on various fronts.

This group met on Friday 13th May, to consider the next steps in their campaign to help the club over its current difficulties.

The Task Group was told of progress to date in a campaign that has set up facilities for donations in Nationwide Building Society which has had an excellent response, and agreed a number of activities going forwards, including a group of fans volunteering to spend Monday ringing around fellow fans. A special event is then to be held at the club on Tuesday 17th May where fans can come along and make pledges, and a team was set up to contact former players to promote the campaign with personal appearances - with an additional aim of gaining more nationwide exposure.

Other actions taken included setting up a meeting with the Editor of the Northants Evening Telegraph to explore how they could further support the campaign, following up on the report they will be doing on Friday night's meeting in Monday's edition (the meeting ended too late for anything to appear in the Saturday edition).
